Ajit Kumar Ranjan (IAS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT)

New Delhi: The Government of India has approved the appointment of Ajit Kumar Ranjan (IAS) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme. Ranjan is 2015 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Nagaland cadre.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on September 16, Ranjan’s appointment will be effective from the date he assumes charge of the post and will continue until June 30, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. His tenure will count as a combined four-year term at the Deputy Secretary level, covering both ex-cadre deputation and Central Staffing Scheme deputation.

The DoPT has requested the Government of Nagaland to relieve him of his current duties at the earliest, enabling him to join his new assignment in Delhi.
