Alok Tandon (IAS) gets additional charge as Secretary of the Ministry of Coal

Alok Tandon (IAS), who is currently serving as Secretary of Ministry of Mines, has been given additional charge of Ministry of Coal’s Secretary for eight days

New Delhi: The Ministry of Mines' Secretary Alok Tandon (IAS) has been given additional charge as Secretary of the Ministry of Coal for eight days. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has on Tuesday approved the assignment of the additional charge of the post of Secretary of the Ministry of Coal to Tandon for a period of eight days from June 9 to June 16 as the Secretary Anil Kumar Jain (IAS) in on leave during the period.

Tandon is a 1986-batch, senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He was appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Mines on January 23.
