New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the appointment of Amrutesh K Aurangabadkar (IAS) as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Women & Child Development Dr Munjpara Mahendrabhai in the Ministry of Women & Child Development.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Aurangabadkar has been appointed to the post at the level of Deputy Secretary for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest.

Aurangabadkar is a 2012-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Gujarat cadre. He is currently posted in his home cadre. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Women & Child Development Dr Munjpara Mahendrabhai in the Ministry of Women & Child Development," the order further read.
