Ankit Chauchan (IPS) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI)

New Delhi: Ankit Chauhan, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the AGMUT cadre (2013 batch), has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) under the Central Staffing Scheme.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Chauhan, who was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), has been selected for the post for a period of four years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The DoPT has directed the Ministry of Home Affairs to relieve Chauhan of his present duties immediately to enable him to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Heavy Industries in New Delhi.
