Arshad Ayub Sheikh (IAS) appointed as Deputy Secretary in DoPT

Arshad Ayub Sheikh (IAS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT)

New Delhi: Arshad Ayub Sheikh (IAS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).

According to an order issued from DoPT, Sheikh has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure upto October 31, 2028 (i.e. till the date of his superannuation) from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Sheikh is a 2013-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of AGMUT cadre. Presently, he is posted as Inspector General of Registration in Jammu and Kashmir. The Ministry of Home Affairs has recommended the appointment of Sheikh for Central deputation, following which he has been selected for the position of Deputy Secretary in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Delhi.
