Ashok Kumar Jayapal (IAS) appointed as Director in DoPT

The Central government has selected Ashok Kumar Jayapal (IAS) for appointment as Director in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT)

New Delhi: Ashok Kumar Jayapal (IAS) has been selected for appointment as Director in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions. According to an order issued by the DoPT, Jayapal has been selected for appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of five years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Jayapal is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of AGMUT cadre. He was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Personnel & Training," the order added.
