New Delhi: Vijay Datta (IAS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs and Power, Manohar Lal in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA). The Central Government has approved his appointment on Thursday.
According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Datta has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the period up to January 19, 2026 (i.e. for the balance period of four years of his central deputation tenure) or on co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Ministry or until further order whichever is earlier.
Datta is a 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre.
