Bhagwati Prasad Kalal (IAS) appointed as Director in Department of School Education & Literacy

IAS officer Bhagwati Prasad Kalal has been selected for the appointment as Director in the Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Education

New Delhi: Bhagwati Prasad Kalal (IAS) has been selected for the appointment as Director in the Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Education on Wednesday. He is a 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Rajasthan cadre. Presently, he is posted as Director of Mining & Geology Department, Udaipur.

As per the official communication issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on May 28, Kalal has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme and will serve in his new role for a period of five years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.

Further, the Government of Rajasthan has been directed to relieve Kalal immediately to enable him to take up the central posting without delay.

Kalal brings with him significant administrative experience from the state of Rajasthan, and his induction into the Department of School Education & Literacy is expected to strengthen the Centre’s policy and program implementation capacity in the education sector.
