Bhupinder Kumar (IAS) appointed as DCR of J&K and Ladakh

The Govt has approved the appointment of Bhupinder Kumar (IAS) for the post of Director of Census Operations (DCO)/Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) (Deputy Secretary level) of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh

New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the appointment of Bhupinder Kumar (IAS) for the post of Director of Census Operations (DCO)/Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) (Deputy Secretary level) of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on February 22, Kumar has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme on additional charge basis with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post and for a period up to December 31, 2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Kumar is a 2011-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of AGMUT cadre. "It is requested to instruct Shri Bhupinder Kumar, AS (AGMUT:2011) to take up his new assignment as DCO/DCO, Jammu & Kashmir & Ladakh on additional charge basis immediately under intimation to this Department and the Registrar General and Census Commissioner India, Ministry of Home affairs, New Delhi,” the order further added.
