According to an official memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on May 3, Mishra will serve in the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying. He will assume the position at Level 13 of the Pay Matrix from the date of taking charge.
The tenure of the appointment will be up to March 31, 2028 — the date of Shri Mishra’s superannuation — or will be co-terminus with the term of the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The decision follows a proposal submitted by the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying.
