New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Birendra Kumar Mishra (ISS) as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Union Minister for Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Rajiv Ranjan Singh. Mishra is an Indian Statistical Service (ISS) officer of 2012-batch.

According to an official memorandum issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on May 3, Mishra will serve in the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying. He will assume the position at Level 13 of the Pay Matrix from the date of taking charge.

The tenure of the appointment will be up to March 31, 2028 — the date of Shri Mishra’s superannuation — or will be co-terminus with the term of the Minister, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The decision follows a proposal submitted by the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying.
