Bureaucratic Reshuffle: ACC approves appointments of several bureaucrats

New Delhi: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments of a number of bureaucrats on Monday. Here is the full list:-

Vini Mahajan (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti. Mahajan is a 1987-batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre. She is the first women Chief Secretary of Punjab. She is currently serving as Special Chief Secretary in the state government of Punjab.

Leena Nandan (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change. He has been appointed to the post in place of Rameshwar Prasad Gupta (IAS), who is set to superannuate on December 31. Leena is a 1987-batch IAS officer of Gujarat cadre and currently serving as Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.

Sanjay Kumar Singh (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Steel. Singh is a 1987-batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre. He is currently serving as Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances and Department of Pensions & Pensioners Welfare.

Rohit Kumar Singh (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. He has been appointed to the post in place of Leena Nandan (IAS), who has been appointed as Secretary in the Environment Ministry. Singh is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre. He is currently serving as Special Secretary in the Ministry of Culture.

V Srinivas (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances and Department of Pensions & Pensioners Welfare. He has been appointed to the post in place of Sanjay Kumar Singh (IAS) upon his appointment in Steel Ministry. Srinivas is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre. He is currently posted as Special Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

Manoj Joshi (IAS) has been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs. Joshi is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre. He is currently serving as Special Secretary in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. The officer will take over as Secretary of the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs upon the superannuation of Durga Shanker Mishra (IAS) on December 31.

Rajeev Ranjan (IAS) has been appointed as Secretary in the National Commission for Backward Classes at the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. Ranjan is a 1989-batch IAS officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. He is currently serving as Special Secretary in the Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance.

Bharat Lal (IFoS) has been appointed as Secretary to the Lokpal. Lal is a 1988-batch IFoS officer of Gujarat cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation under the Ministry of Jal Shakti. He has been appointed to the post in place of Brij Kumar Agarwal (IAS), upon completion of his term of the contract. Lal has been appointed to the post till the date of his superannuation, i.e. January 31, 2022, and thereafter on a contract basis for a period of one year beyond the date of his superannuation on usual terms and conditions applicable to re-employed central government officers.

The ACC has also approved in-situ up-gradation of the following officers to the level of Special Secretary in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India, as a measure personal to them, by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them:

Sanjay Malhotra (IAS) has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of REC Limited at the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India.

Alkesh Kumar Sharma (IAS) has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat. Sharma is a 1990-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat.

Raj Kumar Goyal (IAS) has been appointed as Special Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of External Affairs. Goyal is a 1990-batch IAS officer of the Jammu & Kashmir cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of External Affairs.

Manoj Ahuja (IAS) has been appointed as Chairman of Central Board of Secondary Education, Ministry of Education in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. Ahuja is a 1990-batch IAS officer of the Odisha cadre.

Rajesh Kumar Chaudhry (IFoS) has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Department of Public Enterprises under the Ministry of Finance. Chaudhry is a 1987-batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Public Enterprises, Ministry of Finance.

Annie George Mathew (IAAS) has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance. Mathew is an IAAS officer of the 1988-batch and currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Expenditure in the Ministry of Finance.

Meera Swamp (IAAS) has been appointed as Special Secretary and Financial Adviser to the Department of Expenditure in the Ministry of Finance. She is an IAAS officer of 1988-batch and currently serving as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser in the same department.

Shashank Priya (IRS) has been appointed as Special Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Shashank is an IRS officer of 1888-batch. He is currently posted as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
