New Delhi: In a major senior-level bureaucratic reshuffle the Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointments of a number of bureaucrats from Private Secretary to the PM to secretaries in various ministries. Apart from the appointment of Vivek Kumar as private secretary to the PM, there was a number of other bureaucrats that have been rejigged.

Jyoti Arora, IAS of Haryana cadre 1987 has been shifted as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology by temporarily upgrading the vacant post of Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor. Rajesh Verma, IAS of Odisha cadre 1987 has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare against an existing vacancy.

Indevar Pandey, IAS of West Bengal 1988 batch has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Joint Secretary.

Bharat Lal, Indian forest service officer of Gujarat cadre 1988 who was presently working as Additional Secretary to the President in the President's secretariat has now been reshuffled as Additional Secretary, Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Joint Secretary.

Another IRS officer of 1988 batch Shashank Priya has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
