Centre appoints 4 officers as PS to Union Ministers in latest round of appointment

In the latest round of appointments, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of as many as four officers as Private Secretary to the Union Ministers on Friday

New Delhi: In the latest round of appointments, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of as many as four officers as Private Secretary to the Union Ministers on Friday. Here is the full list:

Mayur Ratilal Govekar (IAS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Union Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia in the Ministry of Communications. According to DoPT order, he has been appointed to the post at the level of Deputy Secretary with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post for a period upto October 11, 2027 (i.e. for the balance period of his four years central deputation tenure) or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Abhinav Pratap Singh (IPoS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Union Minister Jyotiraditya M Scindia in Development of North Eastern Region. According to the DoPT order, he has been appointed to the post the level of Deputy Secretary with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post and for the period up to December 7, 2027 (i.e. for the balance period of his tenure of five years as Private Secretary) or on co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Abhishek Narang (IRS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Union Minister Chirag Paswan in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries. He has been appointed to the post at the level of Director with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the period upto December 31, 2025 (i.e. for the maximum admissible limit of 7 year away from cadre) or on co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Saket Kumar (IAS) has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Union Minister Amit Shah in the Ministry of Home Affairs. According to the DoPT order, he has been appointed to the post at the level of Director with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the period up to August 16, 2025 (i.e. for the maximum admissible limit of 7 year away from cadre) in relaxation of upper limit of five years of working as PS/OSD in a Minister's staff or on coterminous basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
