New Delhi: Deepak Mathews (lA&AS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Mathews has been selected for the appointment to the post under the central staffing scheme (CSS) for a period of four years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He was recommended for central deputation by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Revenue," the order further read.

Mathews is an Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer of the 2009-batch. He is currently posted as Director at Regional Training Centre (RTC), Delhi. Prior to joining RTC, Delhi on July 3, 2018, he has worked in various capacities as Director/DAG (Admn.), Director/CDMA. He has obtained a bachelor's degree in Technology and is an IT resource person in the department.
