New Delhi: Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Dhrubasish K Deka has been appointed as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Rameswar Teli in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoNPG). According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Deka has been appointed to the post at the level of Deputy Secretary for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest.

Deka is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 2012-batch.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) is responsible for the exploration, production, refining, distribution, marketing, import, export, and conservation of petroleum, natural gas, petroleum products, and liquefied natural gas in India. The ministry is headed by Union Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Puri. Pankaj Jain is the Secretary of the Ministry.
