Dinesh Singh (IOFS) appointed as Development Commissioner of KSEZ

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the appointment of Dinesh Singh (IOFS) as Development Commissioner of Kandla Special Economic Zone (KSEZ)

New Delhi: Dinesh Singh (IOFS) has been appointed as Development Commissioner of Kandla Special Economic Zone (KSEZ), Kandla, Gujarat under the Department of Commerce. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Singh on Thursday.

Singh is an Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS) officer of 1989-batch. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post in place of Upendra Vasisth (IOFS) for a period up-to the date of his superannuation on December 31, 2025 or until further orders.

KSEZ was Asia’s first Export Processing Zone (EPZ) and today it is considered as India’s largest multi-product functional SEZ encompassing 1000 acres with 255 performing units as on March 31, 2019.
