Dr Anil Khurana is new Director General of CCRH

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Dr Anil Khurana as Director General of Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH)

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Dr Anil Khurana as Director-General of the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH). According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Khurana has been appointed to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post, or till the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is currently serving as Deputy Director General (Technical) in the same department.

Khurana has an experience of over 30 years in the council and has worked in all the areas of research, including clinical research, basic research, fundamental research, drug standardisation, clinical verification and drug proving. He has more than 70 research publications in various national and international journals to his credits. He has undertaken Post Doctoral Fellowship in HIV-AIDS in the University of California, Los Angeles, US. He has also acquired the qualification of bioethicist from ICMR-IGNOU (Joint course). Currently, he is one of the editors of the Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy, the official journal of CCRH.

Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH)

the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) is an apex research organisation under the Ministry of AYUSH, which undertakes, coordinates, develops, disseminates and promotes scientific research in homoeopathy. The headquarters of the council is situated in New Delhi and multi-centric research is conducted through a network of 26 institutes and units all over India.

The Council formulates and conducts research programmes and projects, collaborates with national and international institutes of excellence to undertake evidence-based research in fundamental and applied aspects of homoeopathy, monitors extramural researches and propagates the research findings through monographs, journals, newsletters, I.E.&C. materials, seminars and workshops. Studies comply with the modern scientific parameters, and research is undertaken with the goal that the outcome of research translates into practice and the benefit of the research is extended to the profession and the public. The governing body regulates the policies, directions, and overall guidance for the activities of the Council. The Minister of AYUSH presides over the governing body and has general control over the affairs of the council.
