Dr Beela Rajesh (IAS) appointed as Part-time Official Director on NLC's Board

NLC India Limited on Monday announced the appointment of Dr Beela Rajesh (IAS) as Part-time Official Director on the board of the company with effect from July 10, 2023

New Delhi: Dr Beela Rajesh (IAS) has been appointed as Part-time Official Director on the Board of NCL India Limited (NLCIL) on Monday. "Dr Rajesh has been appointed as the Part-time Official Director on the Board of Directors of the company with effect from July 10, 2023," company informed in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges. She has been appointed to the post in place of Ramesh Chand Meena, who ceased as Director of the company with effect from July 10, 2023.

Dr Rajesh is a 1997-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Tamil Nadu cadre. Presently, she is posted as Principal Secretary to the Government of Tamil Nadu, Energy Department.

In February 2019, Dr Rajesh was appointed as Health Secretary at the Department of Health and Family Welfare of State of Tamil Nadu. Prior to taking charge as the Health Secretary, she served as Commissioner, Indian Medicine and Homeopathy for the state. As a Health Secretary, Dr Rajesh was instrumental in initiating Hospital Management Information System, under which patients data across Tamil Nadu would be digitised and stored in cloud for future reference and research purposes.
