Dr Nilesh Deore (IAS) appointed as PS to Jyotiraditya Scindia in Steel Ministry

New Delhi: Dr Nilesh Deore (IAS) has been appointed as PS to Jyotiraditya Scindia in the Steel Ministry. Deore, an Indian Administrative Officer of Bihar Cadre (2011 Batch) was posted as District Magistrate & Collector, West Champaran ( Bettiah), Bihar. His appointement order was released by DoPT on Thursday, September 22.

The DoPT order mentioned, "The Competent authority has approved the appointment of Shri Deore Nilesh Ramchandra, lAS(BH:2011) as Private Secretary to the Minister for Civil Aviation & Steel (Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia) in the Mb Steel at the level of Deputy Secretary for a period of 4 years and 4 months (the balance period of his tenure of five years as Private Secretary) with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest".

Deore has done MBBS from Nerul Medical College.

After completing his probationer training in the LBSNAA from Aug 2011 to June 2012, he got his first posting as Assistant Collector of Rohtas. He served there from June 2012 to August 2013. Then he was posted as SDO, Barh in Patna. Then in 2014, he was appointed as Municipal Commissioner of Gaya.

Deore got his first posting as District Magistrate & Collector in Banka in August 2015. His last posting before being appointed as PS to Steel Minister was DM and Collector, West Champaran ( Bettiah ) district where he was serving since August 2017.
