Govt appoints Alok Tripathi (IRTS) as Joint Secretary in Petroleum Ministry

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Alok Tripathi as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Alok Tripathi as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Tripathi, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of the 1999 batch, will assume charge for a tenure of five years from the date of taking over the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. He will replace Asheesh Joshi.

In a related development, the ACC has also approved the appointment of A Amarnath as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the Joint Secretary level in the Ministry.

Amarnath, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 2006 batch, will serve in the role for a tenure of three years from the date of assumption of charge, or until further orders.
