Govt appoints Ira Singhal (IAS) as Deputy Secretary in Department of School Education & Literacy

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Ira Singhal (IAS) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Education. She is a 2015-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of AGMUT cadre.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Singhal has been appointed under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of four years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

She was recommended for Central deputation by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The order further directed that she be relieved of her present responsibilities to take up the new assignment in Delhi.
