Govt approves several JS/ JS equivalent-level appointments

The Government has approved several appointments of officers at the Joint Secretary and Joint Secretary equivalent level posts on Tuesday

New Delhi: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved several appointments of officers at the Joint Secretary and Joint Secretary equivalent level on Tuesday. Here is full list of newly appointed officers.

Muktanand Agrawal from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Rajasthan cadre, 2008 batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. He will serve for a tenure of five years, succeeding Ashish Kumar Srivastava from the Indian Forest Service (IFoS), Tamil Nadu cadre, 1997 batch.

Purna Chandra Kishan, also from the IAS, Rajasthan cadre, 2005 batch, will join the same department, replacing Pankaj Yadav, IAS, Haryana cadre, 2001 batch, for a similar tenure.

Anurag Srivastava from the Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Income Tax, 1993 batch, will take up the role of Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Department of Atomic Energy in Mumbai. His post is temporarily downgraded from Additional Secretary to Joint Secretary level, and he succeeds Rajeev Kumar Mital, IAS, Maharashtra cadre, 1998 batch.

Ekta Vishnoi from the IRS, Income Tax, 1999 batch, has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Biotechnology, replacing Chaitanya Murti, IFoS, Tripura cadre, 1995 batch, for a combined tenure of seven years.

Nila Mohanan, IAS, Union Territories cadre, 2007 batch, will assume the role of Joint Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat for five years, succeeding Ashutosh Jindal, IAS, Tripura cadre, 1995 batch.

Aishvarya Singh, IAS, Sikkim cadre, 2008 batch, will join the Department of Commerce as Joint Secretary, replacing Vipul Bansal, IAS, Karnataka cadre, 2005 batch, for a tenure up to February 2025.

Siddharth Jain, IAS, Andhra Pradesh cadre, 2001 batch, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Cooperation, succeeding Alok Agarwal from the Central Secretariat Service (CSS).

Samir Ashwin Vakil, IRS, Income Tax, 1998 batch, will take on the role of Director at the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, replacing Keshav Chandra, IAS, Union Territories cadre, 1995 batch.

Kaul Sanjay Moolchand, IAS, Kerala cadre, 2001 batch, will be the new Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, succeeding Sanjukta Mudgal, IFoS, Madhya Pradesh cadre, 1990 batch.

Pawan Kumar Sharma, IAS, Madhya Pradesh cadre, 1999 batch, has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence. His post is temporarily downgraded from Additional Secretary level, replacing Nivedita Shukla Verma, IAS, Uttar Pradesh cadre, 1991 batch.

Amit Satija, IAS, Union Territories cadre, 2008 batch, will serve as Joint Secretary in the Department of Defence Production, succeeding Surendra Prasad Yadav, IFoS, West Bengal cadre, 1996 batch, for a tenure up to April 2028.

Alok Tiwari, IAS, Uttar Pradesh cadre, 2007 batch, will join the Department of Economic Affairs as Joint Secretary, replacing K Manicka Raj, IAS, Telangana cadre, 2005 batch, for a tenure up to September 2026.

Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Union Territories cadre, 2008 batch, is appointed as Deputy Election Commissioner in the Election Commission of India, succeeding R.K. Gupta from the CSS.

Ajeet Kumar, IAS, Madhya Pradesh cadre, 2002 batch, also joins the Election Commission of India as Deputy Election Commissioner, replacing Ajay Bhadoo, IAS, Gujarat cadre, 1999 batch.

Nand Kumarum, IAS, Madhya Pradesh cadre, 2008 batch, is appointed CEO of the National e-Governance Division under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, succeeding Abhishek Singh, IAS, Nagaland cadre, 1995 batch.

Anirudh Kumar, Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), 1995 batch, will be the new Joint Secretary in the Warehousing Development & Regulatory Authority under the Department of Food & Public Distribution, replacing Dheeraj Sahu, IAS, Uttar Pradesh cadre, 1996 batch.

Latha Ganapathy, IAS, Tamil Nadu cadre, 2007 batch, has been appointed in the Department of Health & Family Welfare as Joint Secretary, replacing Vipul Aggarwal, Indian Police Service (IPS), Gujarat cadre, 2001 batch, for a tenure up to October 2027.

Nikhil Gajraj, IAS, Haryana cadre, 2008 batch, is appointed Joint Secretary in the same department, replacing Aradhana Patnaik, IAS, Jharkhand cadre, 1998 batch, for a tenure up to August 2024.

V Kiran Gopal, IAS, Madhya Pradesh cadre, 2008 batch, will be the new Joint Secretary in the National Health Authority under the Department of Health & Family Welfare, filling an existing vacancy for a tenure up to November 2026.

Sudhanshu Panwar, IRSME, 1997 batch, will join the Ministry of Heavy Industries as Joint Secretary, replacing Mukta Shekhar, Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), 1994 batch.

Niraj Kumar Bansod, IAS, Chhattisgarh cadre, 2008 batch, is appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, succeeding Shri Prakash from the CSS.

Sunil Kumar, IRAS, 1995 batch, will be the new Additional Registrar General in the Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs, succeeding Sanjay from the Indian Statistical Service (ISS), 1992 batch.

P. Bala Kiran, IAS, Kerala cadre, 2008 batch, will take on the role of Director (Census Operations) at the Joint Secretary level in Andhra Pradesh, replacing an upgraded Director post.

Pooja Pandey, IAS, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya cadre, 2008 batch, is appointed Director (Census Operations) at the Joint Secretary level in Arunachal Pradesh & Meghalaya, succeeding an upgraded Director post.

Sheetal Verma, IAS, Uttar Pradesh cadre, 2007 batch, will join as Director (Census Operations) at the Joint Secretary level in Uttar Pradesh, replacing an upgraded Director post.

Vatsalya Saxena, IRS, Income Tax, 1994 batch, is appointed CEO of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission under the Ministry of Micro Small & Medium Enterprises, succeeding Vinit Kumar, Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE), 1994 batch, until his superannuation in April 2028.

Kumar Ravi Kant Singh, IAS, Uttar Pradesh cadre, 2008 batch, takes on the role of Joint Secretary in the Department of Military Affairs, succeeding Shantanu, IAS, Tripura cadre, 1997 batch, for a tenure up to June 2025.

Ram Singh, IAS, Arunachal Pradesh, 2008 batch, is appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs, succeeding Jitendra Singh Raje, IAS, Sikkim cadre, 2007 batch, for a tenure up to May 2027.

Dhrijesh Kumar Tiwari, ISS, 1998 batch, joins the Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office under the NITI Aayog as Joint Secretary, replacing Shailendra Kumar Dwivedi, Indian Postal Service (IPoS), 1997 batch.

J Ashok Kumar, IAS, Union Territories cadre, 2008 batch, will be the new Joint Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Training, succeeding Rajul Bhatt, IPoS, 2000 batch, for a tenure up to March 2027.

Chhavi Bhardwaj, IAS, Madhya Pradesh cadre, 2008 batch, is appointed Joint Secretary in the same department, replacing Nila Mohanan, IAS, Union Territories cadre, 2007 batch, for a tenure up to July 2027.

Shyama Prasad Roy from the CSS will join the Capacity Building Commission under the Department of Personnel and Training as Joint Secretary, replacing an upgraded Director post for a tenure of five years.

V. Lalithalakshmi, IAS, West Bengal cadre, 2008 batch, is appointed Secretary of the Capacity Building Commission with additional charge as CEO of Karmayogi Bharat under the Department of Personnel and Training for a tenure up to February 2027.

Shiv Kumar, IAS, Union Territories cadre, 2008 batch, takes on the role of Additional Secretary in the Central Vigilance Commission under the Department of Personnel and Training, succeeding Praveen Kumari Singh, Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS), 1993 batch, for a tenure up to December 2026.

Vinod Seshan, IAS, Assam cadre, 2008 batch, joins the Department of Petroleum & Natural Gas as Joint Secretary, succeeding Sunil Kumar, IRAS, 1995 batch, for a tenure up to March 2027.

Naval Kishore Ram, IAS, Maharashtra cadre, 2008 batch, is appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Revenue, succeeding Ritvik Ranjanam Pandey, IAS, Karnataka cadre, 1998 batch, for a tenure up to August 2025.

Rohini R Bhajibhakare, IAS, Tamil Nadu cadre, 2008 batch, will be the new Joint Secretary in the Department of Rural Development, succeeding Amit Kataria, IAS, Chhattisgarh cadre, 2004 batch, for a tenure up to November 2024.

Dipti Aditya Kanade, IAS, Karnataka cadre, 2008 batch, is appointed Joint Secretary in the Department of Science & Technology, succeeding Sunil Kumar from the CSS, for a tenure up to July 2027.

Vaibhav Chauhan, IFoS, Madhya Pradesh cadre, 2008 batch, takes on the role of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, succeeding Rajesh Kumar Jha from the CSS.

Ashish Bhutani, IAS, Assam cadre, 1992 batch, will be the new Joint Secretary in the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, replacing Rakesh Kumar Singh, IAS, Maharashtra cadre, 1995 batch, for a tenure up to December 2026.

Devendra Kumar, IAS, Tamil Nadu cadre, 2008 batch, joins the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation as Joint Secretary, replacing Vivek Bhardwaj, IAS, West Bengal cadre, 1990 batch, for a tenure up to January 2027.

Sharad, IRSME, 1994 batch, is appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles, succeeding Ravi Kapoor, IAS, Assam cadre, 1991 batch, for a tenure up to May 2026.

Anuj Agarwal, Indian Forest Service, Tripura cadre, 1995 batch, will be the new Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, replacing Manisha Saxena, IAS, Union Territories cadre, 1996 batch, for a tenure up to June 2027.

Sanjay Bhardwaj, IAS, Gujarat cadre, 2008 batch, is appointed Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, succeeding Rashmi Chowdhary, IRS, Income Tax, 1994 batch, for a tenure up to March 2028.

Sachin Atulkar, IPS, Madhya Pradesh cadre, 2008 batch, joins the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation as Joint Secretary, succeeding Asok Kumar, IAS, Bihar cadre, 1991 batch, for a tenure up to October 2028.

Harsh Mittal, ISS, 1994 batch, takes on the role of Secretary at the Inter-State Council Secretariat under the Ministry of Home Affairs, replacing Rajesh Bhushan, IAS, Bihar cadre, 1987 batch, for a tenure up to May 2026.
