New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Grace Lalrindiki Pachuau (IAS) as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA), under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Pachuau is a 2014-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Tamil Nadu cadre. She is currently posted as Additional Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department in the Tamil Nadu Government.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), she has been appointed to the post for a tenure of four years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The order further directed that Pachuau be relieved of her current responsibilities immediately to enable her to take up the new assignment in New Delhi.

She holds an LL.B. in Law from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore.
