New Delhi: Harikesh Meena (IAS) has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship under the Central Staffing Scheme.

According to an official communication, the Govt has approved his appointment for a tenure of five years from the date of assuming charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

He has been directed to be relieved of his current duties immediately to enable him to take up the new assignment at the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship in Delhi.

Born on August 14, 1981, in Rajasthan, Meena comes from a rural background and has risen through the ranks with a strong academic and administrative foundation.

Over the course of his career, he has held several key administrative positions in Himachal Pradesh, including Deputy Commissioner of Chamba and Hamirpur, Additional Deputy Commissioner in Mandi, Special Secretary in departments such as Public Works and Irrigation & Public Health, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil) at Nalagarh.

He has also served in senior administrative and leadership roles, including assignments in the state secretariat and as Managing Director of a state power utility, reflecting his experience across district administration, infrastructure, and public service delivery.
