Himanshu Roy (IRS) appointed as DS in Department of Pharmaceuticals

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Himanshu Roy (IRS) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Pharmaceuticals

New Delhi: Himanshu Roy (IRS) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Pharmaceuticals under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Roy under the Central Staffing Scheme with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post for a tenure upto October 15, 2025 (i.e. combined tenure of 6 years at Deputy Secretary level) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Roy is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 2011-batch. He was recommended for the post by the Civil Services Board. “He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Pharmaceuticals,” the order further read.
