The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Hrisheekesh Arvind Modak (IAS) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Financial Services (DFS)

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Hrisheekesh Arvind Modak (IAS) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Financial Services (DFS). According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed under the central staffing scheme for a period of four years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or, until further orders, whichever is earlier. He is a 2008-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Manipur cadre.

Hrisheekesh Arvind Modak (IAS) holds a Master's Degree (MA in Economics) from Fergusson College. He joined Indian Administrative Service in 2008. Currently, he is serving in his home (Manipur) cadre.

Department of Financial Service

The Department of Financial Services is a department under the Ministry of Finance. The department covers the functioning of banks, financial institutions, insurance companies and the National Pension System (NPS). The Department is headed by the Secretary (FS) who is assisted by three Additional Secretary (AS), seven Joint Secretaries (JS), one Economic Advisers (EA) and a Deputy Director General (DDG).
