New Delhi: The Central Government has assigned responsibilities to the IAS officers Sushil Kumar and Sanjeeva Kumar. Read full details here:

Sushil Kumar (IAS), who is currently serving as Secretary of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, has been assigned with the additional responsibility of Secretary of National Commission for Backward Classes. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been given additional charge of the post with immediate effect and till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Kumar is a 1987-batch IAS officer of the Tripura cadre.

The ACC has also approved the assignment of the additional charge of the post of Secretary of the Department of Official Language to Sanjeeva Kumar (IAS) on August 31. He has been given additional responsibility with immediate effect and till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Kumar is a 1986-batch IAS officer of 1986-batch. He is currently serving as Secretary of the Department of Border Management.

Further, in a separate order issued on the same day, the ACC has also approved the assignment of the additional charge of the post of Secretary of the Department of Science & Technology to Dr Renu Swarup. She has been given additional charge of the post with immediate effect and till the appointment of a regular
incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier. She is currently serving as Secretary in the Department of Biotechnology.
