IIS officer Alok Mishra appointed JS in Labour Ministry

IIS officer Alok Mishra has been appointed to the post of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Employment

New Delhi: Indian Information Service (IIS) officer (1998 batch) Alok Mishra has been appointed to the post of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Employment. Mishra earlier held the post of Additional Director General (ADG) at the Press Information Bureau (PIB).

Mishra is a civil servant with over 25 years of experience across public policy formulation, implementation, academics, monitoring and evaluation, capacity development, education, industry-academia collaboration, international cooperation and media and communication. Over the course of his career, Mishra has held crucial positions at public institutions like Niti Aayog, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, Ministry of Education and Doordarshan News.
