IPS Appointments: Anish Dayal Singh appointed as DG CRPF; Nina Singh as DG CISF

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of three IPS officers in Central para-military forces at top-level positions on Friday

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers namely- Anish Dayal Singh, Rahul Rasgotra and Nina Singh at the top-level positions in Central para-military forces on Thursday.

According to an official notification issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on December 28, Anish Dayal Singh (IPS) has been appointed as Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Dayal is a 1988-batch IPS officer of Manipur cadre. Presently, he is posted as Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). He has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of joining the post and up to December 31, 2024, i.e. the date of his superannuation or till further orders, whichever is earlier.

Further, Rahul Rasgotra (IPS) has been appointed as Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). He is also 1988-batch IPS officer of Manipur cadre. Presently, he is working as a Special Director in Intelligence Bureau. He has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of joining the post and up to September 30, 2025 i.e. the date of his superannuation or till further orders, whichever is earlier.

While, IPS officer Nina Singh has been appointed as Director General of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). With this, she become the first women to head the CISF.

Nina is a 1989-batch IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre. Presently, she is posted as Special Director General in CISF. She has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of joining the post and up to July 31, 2024 i.e. the date of her superannuation or till further orders, whichever is earlier.
