IPS officer Krishna Prakash takes charge as Chief of Maharashtra's Force One

Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Krishna Prakash has taken over charge as Chief of Maharashtra Police (Force One)

New Delhi: Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Krishna Prakash has taken over charge as Chief of Maharashtra Police (Force One) with effect from April 26. He has taken over the charge of the post from Dr Sukhvinder Singh (IPS). In a Twitter post, the IPS officer wrote, "Took charge of FORCE ONE on 26th from one of the finest IPS Officers of Maharashtra Cadre Dr Sukhvinder Singh. When I joined Gadchiroli as young trainee IPS officer back in 1999 straight from Academy he was there to guide me as Addl SP, Gadchiroli."

Prakash is a 1994-batch IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre. Prior to this, he was serving as Additional Director General of One Force.
