IPS officers Manoj Shashidhar and Sampat Meena appointed as Special Directors in CBI

The Govt has approved the appointment of IPS officers Manoj Shashidhar and Sampat Meena as Special Directors in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the elevation of two senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to the post of Special Director in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Manoj Shashidhar, IPS (Gujarat cadre, 1994 batch), who is currently serving as Additional Director, CBI, has been appointed as Special Director in the agency. He will hold the position from the date of assumption of charge until his superannuation on November 30, 2030, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Similarly, Sampat Meena, IPS (Jharkhand cadre, 1994 batch), also serving as Additional Director in the CBI, has been elevated to the rank of Special Director. She will serve in the post until her superannuation on March 31, 2031, or until further orders.

The appointments have been made by restoring the posts of Special Director, which were temporarily operating in the grade of Additional Director.
