NITI Aayog: Jagriti Rohit Singla (IRTS) appointed as Director and Anshika Arora (IES) as DS

New Delhi: Jagriti Rohit Singla (IRTS) has been appointed as Director and Anshika Arora (IES) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the NITI Aayog. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), issued on November 22, Jagriti has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years, with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Jagriti Rohit Singla is an Indian Railway Traffic Services (IRTS) officer of 2006-batch. She was recommended for the Central deputation by the Ministry of Railways.

Further, in a separate order issued on the same day, the Government has also selected Anshika Arora (IES) for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the NITI Aayog. She has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Anshika Arora is an Indian Economics Service (IES) officer of the 2010-batch. She was recommended for the Central deputation by the Department of Economic Affairs.

The NITI Aayog is a public policy think tank of the government. It was established with the aim to achieve sustainable development goals with cooperative federalism by fostering the involvement of State Governments of India in the economic policy-making process using a bottom-up approach.
