Kaushick Saha (IAS) appointed as Director of Census Operations, West Bengal

The Central Government on Wednesday approved the appointment of IAS officer Kaushick Saha for the post of Director of Census Operations, West Bengal

New Delhi: The Central Government, on Wednesday approved the appointment of IAS officer Kaushick Saha for the post of Director of Census Operations (DCO)/Director of Citizen Registration (DCR), West Bengal. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Saha has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post and for a period up to December 31, 2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Saha is a 2010-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the West Bengal cadre. Presently, he is posted as Managing Director of Paschim Banga Agri Marketing Corporation Limited.

"The State Government is requested to relieve Kaushick Saha (IAS) immediately with directions to take up his new assignment as DCO/DCR, West Bengal, under intimation to this Department and the Registrar General and Census Commissioner, India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi," the order further read.
