Kuldeep Arya (IAS) appointed as Director in Department of Rural Development

New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the appointment of Kuldeep Arya (IAS) for the post of Director in the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Rural Development. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Arya has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Arya is a 2009-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Gujarat cadre. He is an alumnus of Shri Madbhagavad Geeta Vidyalaya Kurukshetra, Haryana. Prior to his appointment in the Central Government, he served as District Collector of Gandhinagar, Gujarat and other positions in the State Government of Gujarat. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Rural Development," the order further reads.
