The Central Government has approved the appointment of Kuldip Narayan (IAS) as Private Secretary to Ashwini Kumar Choubey to MoS Ashwini Kumar Choubey

New Delhi: The Central Government on Saturday approved the proposal for the appointment of Kuldip Narayan (IAS) as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Environment, Forest & Climate Change Ashwini Kumar Choubey in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEFCC). According to an order issued by Personnel Ministry, Narayan has been appointed to the post at the level of Director with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post and for the balance period of his tenure of five years as Private Secretary i.e. up to 01.09.2024 or on the co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Narayan is a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. He joined Indian Administrative Services (IAS) in the Bihar state cadre in 2005. During his services, he was conferred with the Satyendra K. Memorial Award for his efforts to promote probity and transparency in public service and exemplary dedication in maintaining the highest professional integrity in upholding human values.

Ashwini Kumar Choubey is Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Environment, Forest and Climate Change and a member of the 17th Lok Sabha. He is an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party.
