Kumar Ravikant Singh (IAS) appointed as Deputy Secretary in DFS

Kumar Ravikant Singh (IAS), who was on 'compulsory wait' in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Financial Services (DFS)

New Delhi (Bureaucracy Watch): Kumar Ravikant Singh (IAS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Singh has been selected for the appointment to the post for a period up to June 1, 2023, with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Presently he was on 'compulsory wait' in the Department of Personnel & Training.

"He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Financial Services," the order further read.

Singh is a 2008-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. Previously he has held as Private Secretary to Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti in the Rural Development Department.
