New Delhi: The Government of India has approved the premature repatriation of Laxminarayan Mishra (IAS) to his parent cadre on personal grounds. Mishra is a 2012 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Maharashtra Cadre. He was serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Road, Transport & Highways.

The decision follows a proposal from the Ministry of Road, Transport & Highways, with the provision of "extended cooling off."

As per the directive from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) issued on March 7, Mishra is to be relieved of his duties immediately and report to his parent cadre.
