Lokhande Prashant Sitaram (IAS) appointed Additional Secretary in MHA

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Lokhande Prashant Sitaram (IAS) as Additional Secretary in the Department of Home

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Lokhande Prashant Sitaram (IAS) as Additional Secretary in the Department of Home under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). He is a 2001-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of AGMUT cadre.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on July 2, Sitaram, who is currently serving as the Chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) under the Ministry of Education, will also continue to hold the additional charge of the CBSE Chairperson's post.

The DoPT order stated that he will discharge the additional responsibility as Chairperson, CBSE, until the appointment of a regular incumbent to the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
