Maimun Alam (IRS) appointed as Director in Ministry of Steel

Maimun Alam (IRS) has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Steel, Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme

New Delhi: Maimun Alam (IRS) has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Steel, Delhi, under the Central Staffing Scheme. Her selection follows a recommendation for Central deputation by the Department of Revenue. She is a 2007-batch Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer.

According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Alam will serve in her new role for a period of five years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier. She has been directed to be relieved of her current duties immediately to take up her new assignment at the Ministry of Steel.

With a distinguished career in the Indian Revenue Service, Alam brings extensive experience in tax administration and policy formulation. Her appointment is expected to further strengthen the strategic initiatives of the Ministry of Steel in policy planning and execution.
