The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Mohit Yadav (IFS) as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Mohit Yadav, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 2002 batch, as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce.

According to an official order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on March 7, Yadav’s tenure in the position will be for an overall period of three years, up to October 28, 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The appointment has been made based on a proposal submitted by the Department of Commerce.

Yadav, a seasoned diplomat, has held various significant positions in the past, contributing to India’s foreign relations and trade policies. His appointment comes at a crucial time when the Department of Commerce is focusing on strengthening international trade agreements, export promotion, and economic diplomacy.
