MoHUA’s Amrit Abhijat (IAS) and SSB’s Sanjay Kumar (IPS) get tenure extension

The government has approved the proposals for the extension of deputation tenure of Amrit Abhijat (IAS) and Sanjay Kumar (IPS)

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the proposal of the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) for the extension of central deputation tenure of Amrit Abhijat (IAS). According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Abhijat has been given a tenure extension for a period of six months beyond December 12, 2020. Abhijat is a 1995-batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. Currently, Abhijat is serving as Joint Secretary and Mission Director in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs since December 2015. As Joint Secretary and Mission Director, the government has assigned him to implement the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).

Further, ACC has also approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the extension of the deputation tenure of Sanjay Kumar (IPS). He has been given an extension for a period up to March 12, 2022. Kumar is a 1997-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of Odisha cadre. Presentably, he is serving as Inspector General of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
