Moona Yasmin (IPoS) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry Rural Development

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Moona Yasmin, a 2013-batch officer of the Indian Postal Service (IPoS), as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry Rural Development. The appointment has been made under the Central Staffing Scheme.

Yasmin was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Posts. She will serve in her new role for a period of four years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has directed that she be relieved of her current responsibilities immediately to enable her to join the Department of Rural Development without delay.
