The Government has appointed Mrinal Chawla (IA&AS) as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals

New Delhi: The Government of India has appointed Mrinal Chawla, a 2014-batch officer of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS), as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals under the Central Staffing Scheme.

According to an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on May 28, Chawla’s appointment comes following a recommendation by the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. He will serve in the role for a period of four years from the date he assumes charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The DoPT has directed that Chawla be relieved of his current duties immediately to facilitate his early joining in the new assignment in New Delhi.
