MS Subramanya Rao (ISS) set to be Director in DoPT

New Delhi: MS Subramanya Rao (ISS) set to be Director in the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) as the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal for his appointment on Thursday. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post and for a period up-to February 23, 2021, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

In another order issued on the same day, Disha Pannu (IPoS) has been appointed to the post of Deputy Director in Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie. She has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

LBSNAA, commonly known as a training institute for probationer IAS officers, is a research and training institute on public policy and public administration in India. The academy's main purpose is to train civil service officers of the Indian Administrative Service and also for Group-A Central Services. After completion of training, the trainee officers are awarded an MA degree in Public Management from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. It has been functioning under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions since 1985.
