Namita Sharma Pandey (IRS) appointed as Chief Accounts Officer in CAT

New Delhi:  The Central Government has approved the appointment of Namita Sharma Pandey (IRS) to the post of Financial Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer (FA & CAO) in the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT). According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Pandey has been appointed to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or till the further orders, whichever is earlier.

Pandey is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 1998-batch. "She may kindly be relieved of her duties with instructions to take up her new assignment in the Central Administrative Tribunal," the order added.

The CAT had been established under Article 323 – A of the Constitution for adjudication of disputes and complaints with respect to recruitment and conditions of service of persons appointed to public services and posts in connection with the affairs of the Union or other authorities under the control of the government.
