New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Nidhi Chhibber (IAS) as the Director General of the Development Monitoring and Evaluation Office (DMEO) at NITI Aayog.
Nidhi is a 1994 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Chhattisgarh cadre. Currently, she is serving as Additional Secretary at NITI Aayog.
According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Nidhi's appointment has been made in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India by temporarily upgrading the post. This move is a personal measure for the officer, with the existing recruitment guidelines for the post being kept in abeyance.
Consequently, her earlier appointment as Officer on Special Duty in the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, as per order dated April 18, 2025, stands cancelled.
