New Delhi: Nikhil Saraswat (IRS) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Government e-Market Place (GeM) under the Department of Commerce. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.
Saraswat is an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer of 2014-batch. He was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Revenue. “He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Government e-Market Place under the Department of Commerce,” the order further added.
