Parthasarthi Sensharma (IAS) gets additional charge as DG of National Museum

New Delhi: Parthasarthi Sensharma (IAS) has been assigned the additional responsibility of Director General in the National Museum, New Delhi. The Central Government has approved the proposal for the entrustment of the additional charge of the post to Sensharma on Tuesday. He has been given the additional responsibility of the National Museum for a period of six months with effect from October 13, 2021, or till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is the earlier.

Parthasarthi Sen Sharma is an IAS of the 1994 batch. He is currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Culture. Previously He has held as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) PDIL and FAGMIL. He was featured in the coveted list of top 50 Effective Bureaucrats 2019 list prepared jointly by Magazine Fame India, Asia Post & PSU Watch. The parameters for the selection of Parthasarthi Sen Sharma were: Effective governance, sagacious decision making, Responsible working, Professional attitude, behaviour with people at large and the ability to take quick and impactful decisions.

Further, the Govt has also approved the entrustment of the additional charge of the post of Director of Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (NMML) to Lily Pandeya (IRPS). She has been assigned with the additional responsibility for a period of six months with effect from October 12, 2021, or till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is the earliest. Pandeya is an Indian Railway Police Service (IRPS) officer of 1998-batch. She is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture.
