New Delhi: Petroleum & Natural Gas Regulatory Board's (PNGRB) Secretary Vandana Sharma (CSS) has been given a tenure extension for a period of one year. "The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) for extension of tenure of Vandana," the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said in an order issued on Saturday. She has been given a tenure extension for a period of one year beyond July 25, 2021, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Vandana is a Central Secretariat Service (CCS) officer. She has been holding the position since July 2016.

Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) is a statutory body in India, constituted under the act of Parliament of India, namely Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board Act, 2006. Its primary functions includes regulation of refining, transportation, distribution, storage, marketing, supply and sale of petroleum products and natural gas.
