New Delhi: The Central Government has approved the appointment of Prashant Sharma (IAS) as General Manager of Food Corporation of India (FCI), Lucknow Region under the Department of Food and Public Distribution. Sharma is a 2012-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) of Uttar Pradesh cadre. Presently, he is posted as Special Secretary to Govt of UP Energy Department.
According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on March 18, Sharma has been appointed to the post on deputation basis under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of three years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
“He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment,” the order further added.
